FOR THOSE THAT ALREADY DID THE RR MOD SHOWN ON MAMBA’S SITE

The RR mod described on Wes’s old site (now on Mamba’s site) starts off with the same description and method as that on Mocc’s site. All well and good. The information on Mamba's site also elaborates on the reasons for the RR mod. However, farther on in the discussion a small change was introduced in the hookup, whereby the RR mod connection was made to the front side of the starter relay on the big (+) terminal rather than downstream of the stock fuse as per the original mod. As it turns out this introduces a double path to ground and fuse rating difficulties. So for those that already did the RR mod per this method, a drawing is shown that helps visualize the exact fix that should be made to correct the issue. The drawing is only a visual aid. The end result is exactly electrically the same as the RR mod on Mocc’s site with the addition of the starter relay/stock fuse bypass (a separate description of which can be found Mamba's site).

RollingThunder has made a drawing that clearly shows the correction that should be made.

FOR THOSE THAT ALREADY DID THE RR MOD PER MOCC’S SITE
AND THOSE THAT PLAN TO DO THE RR MOD

There is nothing wrong with the RR mod on Mocc's site. The RR mod on Mocc’s site does not need updating or revision. Those that did the RR mod per the directions on Mocc's site have nothing to worry about. Those that are going to do the RR mod will have no trouble using the information on Mocc’s site.

In addition, you have the option of adding the bypass around the starter relay/stock fuse setup. The starter relay/stock fuse bypass is individually described on Mamba’s site. The starter relay/stock fuse has been known to give trouble because of the internal connections in the relay. Both the RR mod on Mocc’s site and the starter relay/stock fuse bypass have been combined into one drawing. Again, there is nothing new here. The drawing just shows the RR mod combined with the starter relay/stock fuse bypass. Please note the instructions on Mocc’s site. They have not changed. It can be done in two steps. Do the RR mod first per the instructions. Then, as an option, you can do the starter relay/stock fuse bypass.

RollingThunder has made a drawing that clearly shows the RR mod and the starter relay/stock fuse bypass.

Please note that both drawings are electrically equivalent.
